Miss Chen Sisi, a PLA major officer and singer of China’s PLA Art Troupe, has arrived in Taiwan for her concert Beautiful Road at Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall scheduled on Oct. 31, 2009.

According to the Taiwan media, Chen Sisi in Taiwan has led to anxiety and restlessness from some politicians of Taiwan Democratic Progressive Party (DPP). Oct. 30, 2009, the DPP legislators Lai Tak and Pan Meng-an said that the Second Artillery of PLA (which Chen Sisi belongs to) is a troop unit preparing to attack Taiwan with missiles, and they asked the Taiwan administration to drive Chen Sisi and her accompaniers out of Taiwan.

As soon as Chen Sisi landed Taiwan, she visited the resting place of the late Taiwan famous pop singer Terasa Teng to deliver her admiration and respect to this late Taiwan singer. She also visited Taipei National Yang Ming Rehabilitation Center to interact with the physically and mentally handicapped people there. She watched their performance and presented small gifts to them.

In mainland of China, Chen Sisi has a nick name “Little Teresa Teng”. Teresa Teng suffered from asthma in her late years. She died on May 8,1995 from a severe respiratory attack while she was taking vacation in Thailand. She was 42.She was given a state funeral in Taiwan. Her casket was draped over with the flag of Republic of China------blue sky, white sun, and red ground.

The song says,"Plum flower, plum flower is all over under the sky. She blossoms more and more when it becomes colder and colder. She never fears ice, snow, wind, and rain. She is my national flower. Look! She blossoms all over the field, wherever there is soil. Her toughness is the emblem of our great China!"
